Today I spent some time revising what I've managed to write on my newest version of my thesis. If I survive, and I will, getting this paper done it will be a miracle! Good thing I believe in those otherwise I would be in trouble.
There are days when you feel like you are a rock start, and today was one of those days for me. I managed not to watch anything on netflix all day. I did have some help with that seeing as the internet was down for most of the day (thank you Heavenly Father). I cleaned the house, made a pretty tastey dinner, cleaned all of the dishes (even the dinner ones) and I'm even blogging. I could say that that adds up to one rock star day!
Tomorrow my day starts at 6 a.m. thanks to my new writing schedule, so I hope to make some more progress on my beast of a paper. On the plus side (and there are several) I really like my new topic (thanks again to my biggest heavenly fan) so I don't mind thinking about it all the time or rewriting what I've written a hunderd times over.
In other news I'm reading Langston Hughes Pather And The Lash and I'm loving his passion. I suppose it would be hard to be African American in that time and not be emotional about life, but the way that he builds poems on his emotions and rage is beautiful. I'd reccommend it to anyone poetry lover or not.
Welcome to a blog about me. Who knows what you'll find here, but I'm excited to share my life with you. So, thank you for reading.

A Child Out of Alcatraz
Yesterday the Foreverland Press launched Tara Ison's book A Child Out of Alcartaz. It was so exciting to post things about the book and Alcatraz. I learned all sorts of things that I never knew about the prison and the inmates who spent their lives there. My all time favorite was the inmate who escaped and hid inside a small cave until the guards found him. It seems like the rest of the inmates who tried to escape jumped right into the water which was the worst idea they could possible have! Between the water temperatures and the currents the inmates didn't stand much of a chance of escaping. Tara answered questions posted to her by us and the others who attended the Facebook event, so I would say all-in-all it was a fun day for all of us.
